We headed off to St. George on Friday afternoon for a weekend of fun in the sun! Kennedy had a dance competition on Saturday so we were all excited to go down and enjoy a mini vacation! I had the car stocked with everything to help make the trip smooth for my handicap husband,(he had an epidural that morning that relieved some of his pain for the drive). We got there just in time for some ice cream and then off to bed. We woke up to SUNNY SKIES!!! and a SICK DANCER! What a BUMMER! She tried so hard to act like she was okay. We swam for a couple hours that morning and then when it was time to get ready for her competition she crashed. Fever, chills, cough, and a major ear ache. I felt so bad she had been so excited. We pumped her full of motrin and sprite to perk her up, she did awesome! She went from tears and half a sleep to a superstar. She strutted off the stage into my arms and broke down. We had to keep her pumped up for one more dance. But again she went straight from my arms so sick to pulling out another awesome performance! We were all so proud of her!
She was so upset when we had to go back to the hotel to pack up instead of jump in the pool. We promised her lots of swimming this summer to make up for it! So although our little getaway ended early we had so much fun hanging out together in the warm weather!

poor little kennedy. we were in vegas and made a stop in st. george too, always fun to get out of here and have some sun! hope your family starts to feel better!
So sorry it wasn't a better experience! Poor Kennedy! Only she can pull off being so sick and still placing 1st and 2nd!
