soaking up the summer time fun!

We kicked the week off with a fun day at the one and only Herriman Beach!

London was not a happy camper at first, but thanks to Miki's minivan and a tinkerbell dvd, the day was saved! We can't wait to head back up there, but we have to wait ten more days (due to a minor accident as you will read on day 4)
Day Two was Craft Day. We picked up a few supplies at good 'ol Hobby Lobby and the kids went to work!

Day three was spent at This is the Place. I had never been there before and was pleasantly surprised at how much fun we had. We panned for gold, rode a train, enjoyed ice cream, played with baby animals, rode the ponies, did pioneer children chores, and played in miniature cabins. I highly recommend a trip. (it's only $2 a person on Wednesdays all summer!)

Day four was highly anticipated with the arrival of our favorite old neighbors! They made the trek down from Midway to spend a fun day of playing and catching up! Unfortunately the day was cut short when my little Thai fell off her scooter and ended up getting five stitches in her leg! I'm not sure if Thai was more upset that we were sending our friends home early, or that she was headed to the Dr.??

(this was the picture text Travis recieved.)
Day five we discovered the underwater life at the aquarium. We meet up the Olsen's and had a blast running through the place! The penguins and sting rays were the favorites!

Then we packed our bags and headed up to Sundance where we met up with one of my best friends since elementary school . We dropped the kids off at the cabin and then the adults headed up the mountain to the Bluebird cafe festival. Which was seriously so much fun! We spent the rest of the evening laughing, and playing. The next morning we made the trek up to Stewart falls, were most of the kids got cooled off in the waterfall! The perfect ending to a great week!

Some how with all our Summer fun we made some extra time to build a time machine!

Can you believe we transformed a dirty old freezer box into this piece of art? The spinners light up when the person is about to exit the machine and the Christmas lights on top add just the right touch! I was lucky enough to make the big debut! So I brought back a few friends from the past,

A healed blind man, a healed leper, and a someone who was there during the feeding of the 5000. They all were amazing! And the kids were SILENT! It was so much fun! We even put a sharpie inside so you can sign it. You know cause it is a privilege to be apart of "time." We are just waiting for the primary door to be mobbed with other ward members begging to be a part of this! :-)
So we are off for only one more week of summertime adventures! School starts on Monday!!!

I hope Thailee's leg is doing better! Looks like a great summer celebration and the time machine turned out fantastic! It makes me even more sad that I couldn't make my Leper debut from it :) Ha ha ha ha! Meet you at the bus stop on Monday and talk about carpool?

Thanks for letting me be part of the inaugural "voyage" of the time machine. Can't wait to hear about the others who come to visit from times past.
