What day is today?

As soon as school got out on the last day we headed up the canyon and kicked off Summer with "CABIN WEEKEND"

Fun times at the park...

Tj and Travis also had fun at the park...

The goal was to see who got the highest and the most vertical, you be the judge.

This picture was taken moments after the kids saw a snake on the trail! The were pretty shaken but kept going so they could see "their" waterfall.

We celebrated a fun fourth before heading home.

I told the kids that each day they are on Summer break we would have a theme for the day. I gave them a few ideas, and then let them make the final decision. Majority wins. So here goes our first week of Summer.
Day one: WATER DAY
The day was spent laying by the pool, splashing, laughing, and enjoying the first "real" day of Summer.

Day Two: ZOO DAY
The day was spent running exhibit to exhibit, each kid following their trusty map. Their favorites were the baby elephant Zuri and the monkeys.

Day Three: FRIEND DAY turned FROG DAY
This day was intended to be friend day. Where each one had a friend come play, but quickly turned into frog day, since we found EIGHT frogs in our window well! Luckily with it being friend day too we gladly sent 2 frogs home to 2 loving families. The other 6 well.... "we did the right thing" (That's how we justified it to our lil guy with tears in his eyes.) He was great he carried the cage and we had a contest to see which one would jump to freedom first.

We told him that if he finds anymore we can keep them.... He is thrilled!
I am loving the time with all my little monkeys home together! It's crazy to think that in 2 more weeks three of the four will be getting back on the school bus for another year of projects, homework and tests! So I can't help but live in the moment! And from the sounds coming from upstairs it sounds like we are heading to the splash park today! Enjoy your summer!

Absolutely the best. LOVE how you create dreams every kid would kill to experience. They all look so happy and engaged in life. SO COOL!

Cute, cute, and more cute. (Except for the frogs, that's ewww!) I say Travis wins the contest. Love the fam pic in front of the giant flag. Love the theme days. I was thinking of taking the "Sweets Factory Tour" sometime soon, if you want to have a "CANDY DAY"

You are amazing and so is the family. But truly amazing is TJ!!!!! What a guy!!! Tell him how great it is to see him back to normal--and I think he won!! I can't believe how creative you are. Have so much fun--maybe a Grandma Day!
