American Girl Beach Party!

Thai started her morning off bright and early with a birthday call from Africa! Good thing it was early cause she didn't even mind my parents singing voices!:-) Since she was up we started celebrating right away!

Surprise! Kanani! I totally pulled this one off. She REALLY wanted the new American Girl doll Kanani. But I told her that I couldn't get it. She was bummed, but in true Thailee fashion was fine with it. Needless to say she was shocked and so excited when she saw her!
Then it was time for a yummy birthday breakfast...

One last hug from Kanai before school...

Then it was PARTY TIME! All the little surfers and their doll received a invitation for an American Girl Beach party!

As the girls arrived Thai gave each girl a lei and one for their dolls too!

The dolls got to sit at their own table and enjoy some mini cupcakes while they sipped lemonade and got to know one another.

The big girls enjoyed a delicious BBQ with yummy cupcakes for dessert. The Hawaiian music playing in the background providing just the right Hawaiian touch.

After filling up it was time to play some super fun water games! They all had a blast. Then it was time for the SLIP N SLIDE...

Kennedy and London waiting anxiously for their turn..

The girls had so much fun seeing who could catch the most air! Too bad Easton beat all of them...

Before we sent them home soaking wet we cooled them off with some sno cones

and sent them off with a beach bucket full of goodies for them and their doll, oh and a blue mouth too!

It was a very fun party! The perfect way to celebrate turning 8! Thai is such a special little girl. She is so full of love and life. She has more compassion and patience than anyone I know. She loves playing with friends and loves school. She has quickly fallen in love with gymnastics and of course still loves dance. She has an infectious laugh and always brightens our day. She is so excited to get baptized next week. She can hardly wait. Happy Birthday to my sweet little Thai!

Happy Birthday, Thai! We love you! Party looks awesome - glad it went so well! Remind me to tell you about the truth behind how the "hang loose" sign was born. True story that began over here and it's cool.
